Next week, our learning will focus on the wonderful world of the ocean. Our activities will be adapted to meet the individual interests, abilities, and developmental needs of each child. Keyworkers will work closely with their key groups, helping the children to discover, explore, and learn through a range of exciting hands-on experiences.
The children will enjoy a variety of water-based activities, encouraging them to splash, pour, and enjoy the sensation of water. Our sensory area will be transformed into an underwater adventure, complete with blue water, shells, and toy fish for the children to discover and discuss.
In our creative time we will guide the children to paint and colour different types of fish, exploring the vibrant colours and patterns found beneath the sea. They will also be introduced to watercolours, experimenting with new techniques and watching colours blend and spread across the page.
Throughout the week, we will be sharing a selection of summer-themed stories, encouraging conversations about the seaside, holidays, and introducing new seaside and holiday themed vocabulary, which we will continue with our summer holidays and ocean themed story time choices.
