Move Your Body & Self-Care Week

Next week the children will be exploring our Healthy Week theme, learning about their bodies and how to take care of themselves through fun, active and engaging experiences. All activities will be adapted to meet each child’s individual stage of development and interests.

The children will have lots of opportunities to get moving as they take part in mini exercise circuits and are introduced to different forms of movement, including yoga, running and active games. They will also work together to create and explore their own obstacle courses, helping to develop coordination, balance and confidence.

As part of our self-care learning, the children will enjoy a hygiene and self-care day where we will talk about the importance of washing hands, brushing teeth and looking after ourselves. These activities will encourage independence and help build healthy habits for everyday life.

The children will also take part in fun dressing skills challenges, practising putting on and taking off clothing while developing their independence and fine motor skills.

Our keyworkers will continue supporting their groups through playful learning experiences designed around each child’s needs. We are looking forward to a week full of movement, learning and healthy habits.
