Keeping Warm and Cosy at Little Crickets

This week at Little Crickets we will be focusing on the importance of keeping warm during the winter months. Children will be learning how the way we dress changes from the warmer seasons to winter, helping them understand why coats, hats, gloves, and scarves are so important on cold days.

Our activities will include matching gloves and socks, supporting early sorting and problem solving skills, as well as designing and creating their own hats, gloves, and scarves to encourage creativity and fine motor development.

We will be exploring the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears in more detail, talking together about the characters, the events in the story, and the choices they make. This will help children develop listening skills, confidence in expressing ideas, and an understanding of simple story concepts.

Music continues to be a big hit, and children are especially enjoying our winter songs, including Jack Frost and Put Your Coat On. These songs are a fun way to reinforce learning while keeping children active and engaged.

We are looking forward to a cosy, creative, and story filled week of winter learning together.
