We would like to welcome all our Little Crickets families back and hope you enjoyed a well-deserved rest over the break. This week we are continuing our learning about different celebrations and how families around the world come together to enjoy their special festivals.
On Tuesday, some of the children will be visiting the local Gurdwara to learn more about how Sikhs celebrate Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s Gurpurab (birthday). The children will see how the congregation works together to prepare and serve food, helping them to understand the importance of kindness, sharing, and community.
Throughout the week, we will continue exploring our Celebrations book, talking about the many different ways people celebrate and discovering the lovely similarities between cultures and traditions.
A reminder that the nursery will be closed on Wednesday 5 November for a Teacher Training Day, as our staff take time to reflect and plan even more exciting learning opportunities for the children.
Finally, we would like to wish a very Happy Gurpurab to all our families who are celebrating Guru Nanak’s birthday. We hope your day is filled with joy and light.
