This week at Little Crickets we are learning all about how the weather is changing and what we can do to keep ourselves warm on windy days. Together we will think about how to take care of our bodies as the days grow colder, including the foods we eat that help us stay cosy and healthy.
The children will explore different types of clothing, sorting them into those we wear in summer and those we need for winter. We will make this extra fun with counting and matching games using socks and gloves, helping children to learn while they play.
We will continue to enjoy autumn stories together and will also be reading the classic tale of Goldilocks and The Three Bears, encouraging children to think about the characters and join in with the storytelling.
At home, you can extend this learning by showing your child the difference between hot and cold foods, talking about which ones make us feel warm inside and which ones are best enjoyed on a sunny day.
