Blustery Autumn Days

This week we are learning all about windy autumn days and the changes they bring to nature. Together we will notice how the wind helps leaves fall from the trees and talk about the different shapes, colours, and sizes that we can find.

The children will be exploring a variety of leaves, learning which trees they have come from, and using them to create leaf prints and collages. These creative activities will give them the chance to experiment with textures and patterns while celebrating the beauty of the season.

We will also be sharing autumn stories and discovering more about the animals that live around us, thinking about how they find clever ways to stay safe and warm during the autumn months.

You can build on this learning at home by going for a walk with your child, kicking through the leaves together and listening carefully to the sounds they make. You might even like to collect some leaves to bring home and use to make your own autumn picture.
