We have had such a lovely start to the season with the children, and it has been wonderful to see their excitement as they notice the world around them changing. This week our activities will be inspired by the colours, sights, and feelings of autumn.
As autumn arrives, we will be helping the children notice and explore the changes happening in the world around them. Together we will look at the leaves falling from the trees and talk about why this happens, encouraging curiosity about the seasons.
This week we will also be focusing on the colours orange and brown, linking them to the rich autumn shades we see outdoors. The children will be threading and creating sequential patterns, developing both their fine motor skills and their early understanding of order and sequence.
For our older children who have started using flash cards, please remember to send their flash cards in their bag in every day so that we can continue building on their progress.
We also ask that every child brings a named water bottle each day. This helps them recognise their own belongings and ensures they can help themselves to a drink whenever they need one.
With warm wishes,
The Little Crickets Team
