This week we will talk to children about their father’s/grandads and any other male role models in their lives. We will read my Dad is Great together and help children understand the story.

We are going to continue looking at phonic sounds. The sounds children will learn this week are ‘p’, ‘q’, ‘r’, ‘s’ and ‘t’.

Children will be involved in identifying animals that begin with these letters. We will go through the ‘Walking in the jungle book’ to help children recognize the sounds of the animals. 

We will work in small groups to re-visit the sounds that children have been taught over the last eightweeks.
