For week 5 of the summer term we are going to be celebrating the Queens Platinum Jubilee at Little Crickets Nursery.

On Monday 23rd May we will be decorating crowns and talking to children about the Queen’s crown and why it is worn.

On the morning of Tuesday 24th May we will be hosting a tea party for the children. They will be involved in baking and decorating cakes. Children will be provided with party food and will have the opportunity to participate in games relating to the Jubilee. A £5 contribution is required to cover the cost of food if you wish for your child to attend this day, and children are allowed to dress up. If your child is not usually at nursery on Tuesdays and would like your child to attend this day as an extra session please inform Suki.

The rest of the week children will be busy with craft activities and learning relating to the Jubilee.

This will also be our last week before we break up for half term. Children will have a week off and return on Monday 6th of June . Children who are aged 4 before September 1st should have all been notified from the council which school their child has been accepted to attend. If your child is ages three or under and they are to continue at Little Crickets in September please speak to Suki to ensure you get the sessions you require for your child in September.
