Hello to all parents and carers, and welcome to another week.

This week we will be teaching children about Chinese New Year. We will be talking to children about the Chinese festival of the lunar new year and showing them how this is celebrated.

Later on in the week children will be busy making lanterns and looking at the Chinese letters for ‘Tiger’.

During Concept Time we will show children some of the types of food that people eat in China, and how they eat their food with chopsticks. This would help children to understand some of the differences between cultures. We will also be sharing a Chinese New Year celebration book together.
