This week we will be teaching children about windy days and their effect on nature, resulting in the falling of leaves.

Children will be shown different types of leaves and we will discuss the trees they have fallen from. We will do some leaf printing and make collages.

Autumn stories will be shared together and we will look at different animals and how they survive in the Autumn.

Please take this learning further with your child by going on a walk through fallen leaves and asking your child to identify the sounds that they make underfoot. You could use different types of leaves to create a picture together.

Please remember to send children with sufficiently warm outerwear now that the weather is growing colder, so we may still take learning outside when appropriate. All coats and hats, etc should be clearly labelled with your child’s name.
