Summer Term, Week 4: New Phonics Sounds and Parents Notices

This week we are going to continue looking at single letter phonic sounds. The sounds children will learn this week are K, L, M, N, and O.

Children will be involved in a range of physical and creative activities to help them learn and remember these initial sounds. We will be working in small groups to re-visit the sounds that children have been taught over the last three weeks.

This week we will also be taking a close look at our outdoor environment, to encourage our young learners to identify items beginning with the sounds we have learned.

We will also be looking at the festival of Eid this week, and talking about why this festival is important to some people and their families, and how it is celebrated. Please may we also wish a happy Eid and our best wishes to the children and families who are celebrating this week.
