Hello to all our Little Crickets Nursery parents and carers. We would like to welcome you all back from the Easter break. We hope that you and your children are all rested and that they are ready to enjoy the next six weeks of the Summer term.

This term we are introducing children to phonics. We will be looking at initial sounds, concentrating on the sounds that initial letters make when starting words. Children will be helped to both form and recognise letters.

During the first fortnight of term we will be looking at the first four letters of the alphabet. To help engagement with our introduction to phonics and the alphabet we will be creating art with these letters.  Children who are able to engage with this learning will start to form these letters in their workbook at nursery.

Warm Weather Notice

As the weather is warming up please can you ensure that you apply sun lotion on your child as we will be taking their learning and playing outside when the weather permits.
