This week we will be teaching children about the celebrations of Diwali and Bhandi Chorr.  We will be discussing with children how Hindus and Sikhs might celebrate this festival in different ways.

Children will be decorating divas and will learn all about the importance of light in both of these festivals. We will ask children how they celebrate their festivals and look at differences and similarities in the way we celebrate.

To further expand the learning we are doing on this topic we will look at the food that is eaten by families during these celebrations
