This week we will be teaching children about the seasonal change of weather that we are experiencing, and how we need to dress on cold and windy days to keep ourselves warm and well.
We will talk about how we can take best care of ourselves as the days get colder, including the warming foods that we can cook and eat to keep warm in the colder months.
Children will be shown different types of clothing, and they will be encouraged to identify whether the different forms of clothing should best be worn in the summer, or the winter months. We will also be playing counting and matching games using socks and gloves.
We will continue to share Autumn stories, and we will explore the classic tale Goldilocks and The Three Bears.
If you can, please help extend your child’s learning by discussing with them the difference between hot and cold foods.
