We are extremely happy to say that most of our new starters as well as our returning children have settled very well into the nursery environment and are coping very well with their nursery routine.

This week we will be encouraging children to recognise red and yellow items which can be found in the nursery, home and outdoor environment.

We will be printing and creating collages with the colours red and yellow and later on in the week we will be playing colour recognition games.

Older children will start the Read, Write, Inc scheme, and so will come home with small cards with letters on them. Please help and encourage your child to become familiar with the sounds that each of these letters make.

We have started to enjoy music from our Harvest CD, so you should begin to hear new songs that your child would have picked up from nursery. Please encourage their learning by joining in with the singing and dancing.
