As we are now starting what would have been the Easter Break, the staff at Little Crickets would like to take this opportunity to wish you and your families a safe and happy Easter together.
Hopefully your family have now started to develop a gentle routine to help you find a sense of security and comfort to your days. Though your Easter Break may be a bit different to other years there are a good number of Easter and spring activities that you might share with your child to help enrich their learning and bring some fun to your days. An Easter egg hunt in the home or garden, decorating eggs and biscuits, and many different crafts that you might choose to share. If you can find an old hat (or make a simple one from a band of paper or card) you can decorate it with all manner of craft materials to make a unique Easter bonnet. You could get the whole family involved and have your own miniature Easter parade.
For a very simple and sedate craft, why not download ourĀ Easter Egg Template to print, (or draw your own on an A4 piece of paper) and use cut up magazine pages, colourful sweet and biscuit wrappers, pieces of bright cereal boxes, scraps of fabric and anything else you have on hand to decorate. Simply help your child to put lines of glue onto your egg and encourage your child to decorate the egg in any manner they choose. Once it is dry, cut around the paper egg shape for a very bright and colourful Easter decoration.
However you spend your time over the next week or two we wish you and your families a loving and safe time together. Whatever you are doing, you are doing great, and we cannot wait to beat this together so that we can see you all again.
With love from all your friends at Little Crickets Nursery, Walsall
