This week we will be teaching children about Chinese New Year. We will be talking to children about the importance of Chinese money wallets, and they will be decorating their own with a special chocolate coin inside.

Later on in the week children will be busy making lanterns, looking at the Chinese letters for the word rat.

During concept time we will show children the types of food Chinese people eat and how they eat their food. This would enable children to understand that people around the world have different cultures and customs from what they may experience at home.
