This week we will be focusing our learning in the nursery environment on the annual crop harvest and why this is important.
We will be looking at the various types of breads enjoyed by families from different cultures. On Monday, children will be making their own chapati using wholemeal flour. Later on in the week we will be baking bread which children can enjoy with parents and carers at home.
To extend our children’s learning from last week they will be able to choose their favourite vegetables to add to soup which we will be making in the nursery space. They will help to peel and chop their vegetables and then will be shown how soup is made.
Next Monday, if the weather is dry, we are planning to take our children to the woods for an exploration session. Please take extra care to ensure your child wears suitable footwear for that day.
REMINDERS FOR PARENTS & CARERS
Please may we remind all parents and carers to label their child’s coat, bag and lunch bag, along with any other belongings that are brought into nursery. This helps to prevent loss and any avoid any upsets reuniting children with their belongings at the end of their nursery session.
Invoices should now have been recieved. Please speak to the management if you have not yet received your invoice as payment for nursery fees are now due.
